Summer is Coming.
Is Your Skin Ready?

June in Dubai is more than a season shift. It is a test for every skin type. This month we share what our team is seeing in clinic — and what you can do before the heat peaks.

Monthly Skin Insights

A Note from
Shohreh

Every June, I see the same pattern in clinic. Clients who maintained a consistent skincare routine through spring arrive in early summer and wonder why their skin suddenly feels different — more reactive, more dehydrated, more prone to congestion.

It is not that their routine stopped working. It is that Dubai's summer demands a different approach entirely. The heat, the humidity, and the constant transition between outdoor temperatures and refrigerated interiors creates a cycle of stress on the skin barrier that a winter or spring routine was simply not built for.

"We believe in rebuilding skin, not breaking it down — and nowhere does that matter more than in the transition to summer."

This month, we wanted to share what we are telling our clients in consultation right now — because the adjustments that protect your skin through July and August start in June, not after the damage is already visible.

This Month's Treatment Spotlight

BPC-157 Peptide Therapy & Skin Recovery

BPC-157 is a peptide — a short chain of amino acids — that has been studied extensively for its role in tissue repair and regeneration. At Ivory, we have integrated it into recovery-focused treatment plans for clients whose skin needs structural support rather than surface-level correction.

In practical terms, this means clients experiencing prolonged redness after treatments, skin that heals slowly, or a compromised barrier from sun exposure are seeing meaningfully faster recovery when BPC-157 is part of their protocol. It supports collagen synthesis, reduces inflammation at the tissue level, and helps the skin rebuild its own resilience from within.

As summer approaches and UV exposure intensifies in Dubai, we find that clients who invest in barrier and recovery support now — before the heat peaks — arrive at autumn with skin in significantly better condition than those who focus on correction after the damage has occurred.

If you are curious whether peptide therapy belongs in your treatment plan, your next consultation is the right place to start that conversation.

Eye Rejuvenation: The Area Most Affected by Summer Dehydration

The delicate skin around the eyes is the first place dehydration shows — and the last area most people think to treat proactively. As temperatures rise in June, we consistently see clients arriving with increased puffiness, more visible fine lines, and a general tiredness around the eyes that their usual eye cream is no longer managing.

This is not a product problem. It is a structural one. Eye rejuvenation treatments at Ivory are designed to address the underlying tissue — puffiness, laxity, and fine lines — rather than masking them with hydration alone. The results are natural-looking, require no downtime, and are best done before summer sun exposure intensifies the concern rather than after.

Book a consultation this month and mention eye rejuvenation — we will assess whether the timing is right for your skin.

Three adjustments to make to your routine this month

Switch to a gentler cleanser. The one that worked in winter may be stripping your barrier in summer heat. If your skin feels tight after cleansing, that is the barrier signalling distress — not cleanliness.

Reapply SPF after every two hours of sun exposure. A single morning application is not protecting you through a Dubai summer afternoon. SPF 50 applied once at 9am has lost most of its efficacy by noon.

Pause aggressive exfoliation until September. AHAs, BHAs, and retinoids increase photosensitivity. If you are using active ingredients at night, be especially diligent about morning sun protection — or consider pausing until the sun is less intense.
